| The famous NOCK CIRCUS was started in Switzerland in 1840. The fifth generation of the family came to America in 1953 at the insistent urging of John Ringling North, then President and Producer of the "Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus." The Nocks received top billing with "The Greatest Show on Earth" through 1957.

Their major credits since, have included performances at New York World's Fair in 1964, EXPO '67 in Montreal, The Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto, The Expo Provinciale of Quebec, Chicago's Soldiers Field, the 1990 Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Disney's EPCOT TV special "Celebrity Circus", "Sea World of Texas TV Show", Tampa's Busch Gardens, The Tommy Bartletts Ski, Sky and Stage Show, major fairs such as the Florida State Fair, the Wisconsin State Fair, the Ohio State Fair, the North Carolina State Fair, the Tennessee State Fair, and the Charlotte Motor Speedway race opening ceremonies. On January 1-6 1991, The Nerveless Nocks entered competition at the Sarasota International Circus Festival and Parade held in beautiful Sarasota, Florida. The Nocks competed against some of the world's foremost Circus and Aerial Thrill Acts and not only won first place for best Aerial Act, but also the Best Act overall.

On January 28 1995, The Nerveless Nocks were inducted into the Ring of Fame in a ceremony at St. Armand's Circle, and on February 10 1995, the Ringling Circus Museum elected the Nocks Circus Celebrity Family of the Year. The New York Times Sunday Magazine called The Nerveless Nocks one of the World's Greatest Circus Acts. The Sarasota Herald Tribune called the Nocks "simply fantastic." |
